Heard of Larimar?

Larimar is a trademarked name for a rare blue, gem-quality variety of the mineral pectolite. Blue Larimar is  found in only one location in the entire world - a mountainous, relatively inaccessible area in the province of Barahona in the Dominican Republic. It can vary in color from white to light-blue, and from medium sky to volcanic blue.

To clean Larimar, wipe down with a soft cloth only using warm water and mild soap if needed. Rinse well removing any excess soapy residue. Avoid harsh chemicals and cleaners that may corrode the stone. Also avoid prolonged exposure to strong heat or sunlight to prevent discoloration.
